Dr. Karthika S B is an Assistant Professor of English at Fatima Mata National College (Autonomous), Kollam, and serves as an approved Doctoral Research Supervisor at the University of Kerala. The daughter of renowned critic Dr. R. Bhadran Pillai, she carries forward a distinguished literary tradition through her work in adaptation, performance, and critical theory. She completed her Post-Doctoral research at the School of Letters, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, with a specialized focus on Kathakali adaptations of Shakespearean drama. Her doctoral dissertation investigated cinematic adaptations of Shakespeare’s works, and she holds an M.Phil. in Theatre Arts as well as an M.A. in English from the University of Kerala. Her academic credentials are further supported by professional certifications including NET, SET, KTET, and B.Ed. As an author and editor, Dr. Karthika has published five scholarly volumes addressing literary criticism, film adaptations, and theatre studies. Her monograph *Shakespeare in Malayalam Celluloid* (2019, Media House) examines cinematic adaptations in regional cinema and is archived in international academic repositories, including the Penn Libraries at the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Zurich Library, and the Shakespeare Institute Library in Stratford-upon-Avon. She also edited *Bennyaminte Novel Lokam* (DC Books), which has been incorporated into the postgraduate curriculum at the School of Letters, Mahatma Gandhi University.
